Jesus “Chuy”
Ayala

Jesus “Chuy” Ayala is an artist from Blythe, California who specializes in airbrush art. Like many artists, Chuy grew up drawing on anything he could get his hands on.  However, the way he created art was forever changed the moment his high school art teacher introduced him to airbrushing.  Chuy recalls thinking “I couldn’t go back to using pencils and brushes, it felt too slow for me.” So he quickly began airbrushing everything he could. The Majority of his artwork is made from commissions to paint clothes, decorations, cars and walls. He loves telling customers that ‘airbrush can be used on anything and everything.” Chuy is always happy to hear peoples ideas/visions and loves to create them in his own way with his airbrush.

Cyle was born with an affinity for art, influenced by 90’s cartoons, early graffiti and people like Ed Roth.  He’s  sculpted a style that melds cartoon illustrations with surrealism. As a self-taught artist impacted by hotrods, punk rock and skateboarding, his work pulsates with motion and detachment.  Each project undergoes meticulous research and revision.  Unconstrained by mediums,  Cyle thrives in the creative process; creating everything from small book illustrations to large scale murals. GROUP

PEACE FROM CHAOS

Peace from Chaos (PfC) has been in the local Blythe community for approximately two years providing advocacy and outreach for those dealing with or affected by Mental Health, Addiction, Suicide and social acceptance. This journey continues the legacy of Steven Chaos Camou who lost his battle with Schizophrenia via Suicide in 2021. Among the Arts, Steven and now PfC use art such as painting, music, crafts, writing and spoken word to promote self-wellness and balance for those looking for an escape and healing from their personal challenges. PfC has hosted several rock painting and self-expressive events which are popular with the local community especially children.

PF uses natural and recycled materials such as rock, raw metals, plants and paints. Using landscape, metal art, color and hand crafts to complete the designs. The art beds would highlight specific areas of awareness and healing, all designed with very personal and local touches. Bold, calming and interactive, the art garden will draw out emotion, hope and reflection for both those local to the community and those who may stumble upon this art installation. Aestheticians can then add to the garden interactively or have an opportunity to take specific art pieces (rocks) with them.

GROUP

BLYTHE B-29ERZ

The B-29erz is a local bicycle group in Blythe, California that was established July 15, 2022 by Brandon Scott and Johnny Alvarado. In the beginning there were just a few local riders around town, enjoying each other’s camaraderie. Members quickly realized that the group could be so much more and the dream began.

The dream was to get kids out of the house and onto bicycles. Children and adults alike, are encouraged to come out and ride with the group. Members became mentors of a sort to the younger generation, showing them positive interactions, manners, and morals. Pooling their hard-earned money together, the group would purchase bicycles to gift to young and deserving individuals.

The group continued to grow; it was then realized that there was a capability of an even larger purpose. Not only could the group get the kids involved but an entire community. Our group realized that riding was cathartic. Children gain confidence which then reflected in their schooling and their social skills. Being together as one group, showed that positive interactions and friendships were helping not only the children, but the well-being and mindsets of everyone riding within the group.

The B-29erz also found bicycle organizations in many of the surrounding areas. The group began to reach out to these other clubs to learn the process and purpose, and to gain connections. The group now travels to join the others’ rides, and they in turn have even begun to travel to Blythe, California to join ours. Through these interactions not only were there meaningful relationships but also a larger family and culture surrounding bicycles and riding.
